A proud product of the Southside of Chicago, Mike was raised in a blue collar family defined by service and hard work — his father serves with the Chicago Police Department and his brother is a skilled Local 10 carpenter. Those roots instilled in him a deep respect for the working men and women he now fights for every day.
A St. John Fisher and St. Rita alumnus, Mike spent his formative years on the golf course working as a caddy — an experience that earned him the prestigious Evans Scholarship to the University of Minnesota. He remains actively involved with the Evans Scholars Foundation as a Par Club member, giving back to the same organization that helped shape his path.
That same work ethic carried him through law school at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where he balanced a full-time position at a personal injury firm during the day while also managing a full course-load during the evening. He sharpened his courtroom instincts through rigorous trial advocacy training and gained real-world experience early in his career while holding a 7-11 License.
Mike is an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA), the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association (WCLA), and the Illinois State Bar Association — always staying up to date with the latest developments in the law.
On the rare occasion when he’s not in the office, Mike is a true Southsider at heart — you’ll find him cheering on the White Sox, out on the golf course, or playing 16-inch softball.
